• 17-year-old Loganville teen shot in Chatham County, GBI investigating (fox5atlanta.com) — A 17-year-old from Loganville, Antonio Thornton Jr., was found fatally shot outside an apartment complex in Bloomingdale, Chatham County, on Dec. 14. The GBI is investigating, an autopsy is pending, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Bloomingdale Police or the GBI.
   

• Rudisail, of Loganville, commissions as a second lieutenant (monroelocal.org) — A Loganville resident has just taken a big step into military leadership. Tristan Rudisail of Loganville was commissioned as a second lieutenant into the Army National Guard’s Nurse Corps during a Dec. 9 ceremony at the University of North Georgia, where he was recognized as a Distinguished Military Graduate.
