Code Red Unhealthy Air Alert and Heat Advisory in Force Sunday

An alert issued for Sunday, July 1, by Georgia's Clean Air Campaign forecasts the air quality at 181 - which signifies a Code Red Smog Alert. In this range many people will be affected by ozone. The alert is for the metro Atlanta area and includes Loganville and Grayson.

Because of the predicted concentrations of GROUND-LEVEL OZONE, air quality in metro Atlanta is predicted to be "UNHEALTHY".

Health Advisory:   Air is more likely to be unhealthy for most people, especially people with heart or lung disease (including asthma), seniors and children. Most people should restrict their outdoor exertion to morning or late evening hours when ozone is low, to avoid high ozone exposures.

Heat Advisory: Is in effect until 9 p.m. Sunday for the metro Atlanta area, including Loganville and Grayson.
