For the past year, the Federal Communications Commission and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have been working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to conduct this test. It has been reported that the test could even go as far as to appear on cell phones and computers, but no reference could be found to that effect on the official website. However, officials are asking that people pass the word on that this is only a test and normal programming on radio stations and televisions will resume within a short time. The test, however, will appear on all television channels for the duration of the test.
