Raising a child is hard work. Raising a child with special needs has a whole other set of challenges often not addressed in traditional parenting classes.
Taught by Tamila Burt, an applied behavior interventionist and special educator, along with her husband, Tim, who is a children’s pastor and has taught at a fully included preschool, this class will meet you right where you are in the world of special needs.
Each month has a different focus, addressing issues you deal with in your everyday life. Some of the monthly topics include individualizing discipline for your child, the special needs of siblings, surviving the holidays, making memories, creating social stories, visual supports, and much more.
Come and get information, share things that have worked for you, and meet others who are walking the same road as you and your family.
