Free Self-Defense Seminar at A.M.A.I. a Success

Contributed by Kristin Henshaw from American Mixed Martial Arts Institute.

The Seminar was a great success!  Twenty-six women attended, from a variety of backgrounds and places. We had some women who are parents and friends of students, some who are members of the , and some who found out about our Seminar from the Patch announcement you made for us last week!  In addition, there were some ladies from the Loganville MOMS Club, who inspired the idea for this free Seminar.  Tricia Williams, the President of the MOMS Club, is my neighbor, and she and I discussed doing something like this for those ladies.  We then opened it up to the public because we could see the great benefit it could have for everyone.  Mr. Edmond Brown, Mr. Drew Sawyer, and Mr. Tyler Parr instructed everyone on life-saving techniques to gain confidence in the ability to handle any situation.

AMAI believes in providing confidence through knowledge of being able to defend yourself in any situation, no matter the amount of training or physical ability.  We truly believe that everyone has the ability to find that Black Belt within themselves.

AMAI will be hosting another FREE Women's Self-defense Seminar at the end of February, at which time we would also like to offer enrollment in a 4-week Women's Self-defense course.  We will be hosting periodic FREE Seminars in between the actual course runs
