
The first official business of the newly-seated kicks off with a work session at 7:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall. This will be preceded by two committee meetings beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Except for specific executive sessions, all meetings of the council are open to the public.
Two items of note for officials to have the city attorney look at this month include amending the Loganville City Charter to consider term limits for the mayor and councilmembers. This is something officials had spoken about before, but wanted to wait until the new four-year terms were in place. are the first who were elected to serve full four-year terms.

Another item in the Charter under discussion will be streamlining the wording to align the delegation of duties with regard to the city’s administration. Loganville has a city manager-type government.
Officials are also expected to discuss the that was recently sent to all cities with a view to finally resolving the ongoing stalemate. The matter has been in litigation since 2008 when the cities and county couldn’t reach an agreement.
