Georgia House Minority Leader Receives Outstanding Public Service Award

House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams received the Latin American Association’s Outstanding Public Service Award. It was presented at the 23rd Annual Compañeros Awards Luncheon on April 19.

“I am humbled and honored to be a recipient of the Latin American Association’s Outstanding Public Service Award,”  Abrams said in a press release. “The Latin American Association provides tremendous service to the community, standing up for the human rights and dignity of all.  I appreciate this prestigious award, and I could not be more delighted to accept it.”

Leader Abrams was selected to receive this award because of the important role she has held in supporting civic, political and business access for not only the Latino population in Georgia, but also the goal to guarantee opportunity for all.
