The SE Gwinnett Co-op out of in Grayson has become an official partner with The Atlanta Community Food Bank.
"This means that we now have the option of purchasing food from ACFB," said Laura Drake, director of the Co-op. "We are very excited to have access to this awesome resource.Drake said for the first year of the partnership, food has to be picked up from the food bank but after a year, the co-op will qualify for delivery.
"We need folks who are willing to volunteer to drive downtown," Drake said in a call-out for volunteers. "Ideally if several would volunteer, we could create a rotation. The ACFB does not always have items that are a good fit for us, but when they do, we would like to take advantage. For instance, a recent item listed was Huggies Size 4 at $2.40 a case!! Wow!"

If you are interested in volunteering, contact the Co-op at ldrake@segwinnettcoop.org. Drake said this might be a good fit for someone who works downtown and has a desire to serve at the Co-op, but is limited by time.
