
Eryn Speer, from Loganville, has signed a letter of intent to attend Reinhardt University next fall and run cross country for the Lady Eagles in 2012 under head coach Dianna Hinton. The 5-foot-5 Speer comes to Reinhardt from , where she competed for head coach Kevin Johnson.
Speer, the daughter of Billy and Amy Speer, earned three varsity letters in cross country at Loganville. This past season, LHS won the Walton County championship before finishing third in Region 8-AAAA and 20th at the state meet. In Speer’s junior year, the Lady Red Devils were region runners-up and placed 18th in the state at the Class AAAA level. Speer was named the squad’s Most Improved Runner as a sophomore in 2009 and also participated in track at Loganville.
