The Loganville City Council's April work session is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight, Monday, April 9, 2012. The April voting session will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12.
The first item on the agenda and up for discussion is the action required on following last month's vote on mobile units at the First Baptist Church of Loganville. Nunley vetoed the vote that would have waived tap fees to temporary trailers that the church is putting in to help the homeless and support hungry children in the community. Nunley said while he appreciates the services performed by the church, waiving the fee would be offering a free service, which is in violation of the law as the services are tied to the debt service.
