When students return to Jan. 3 they will have an oprating traffic signal at the intersection of SR 20 and the Grayson High School access road. The signal is programmed to operate during peak school hours from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and then again from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The signal will start to flash on Dec. 28. Officials note, however, that these dates are contingent upon GDOT is in the process of widening
Officials from Gwinnett DOT have said that this new traffic light was added to increase the safety of parent and student drivers as they travel to and from school.
