Remembering Epsie

Faye Evans, sister of Epsie Ewing, remembers her sister on the 3rd anniversary of her death on June 23, 2009.

I always find myself driving by her house and praying that this was all a bad dream, but in reality I know it's not. The house and the porch that she loved are still there and the only things missing are her and all her windchimes. She loved windchimes so the first thing I did when she passed was go to her gravesite and put up windchimes there.

Since this ordeal I have realized that its a shame that in the United States of America that murderers have all the rights the law allows and the victims have none. We will not let her be forgotten even if the justice system does. It's a shame that its been three years and we dont know anymore today then we did the day it happened. I promised Epsie on her death bed, that her family would be her voice because her's was taken away, so please help me remind the people what happened in the small town of Loganville Ga. It was more then a normal beating, it was as if they deliberately went there to kill her.

Epsie loved the Lord with all her heart and it was apparent that she fought up until her last breath, and she tried so hard to hold on, but God decided to give her the ultimate healing, which meant taking her home to be with him. We rejoice in the fact that she is now with the Lord and out of pain, but we will not let people forget what happened three years ago. Her children still miss her and talk about her all the time. She was a great mother and a dear sister. She was such a blessing here and im sure she will be even more blessed in Heaven.

The three men accused of the murder of Epsie Ewing are facing the death penalty. They remain in jail until their trials, which are expected to start in the fall.
