Armed And Dangerous Robbery Suspect Sought By Gwinnett Police
Gwinnett Police are warning people about a man authorities say is armed, dangerous and suspected in multiple robberies and assaults.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Gwinnett Police are warning the public to be aware of an armed and dangerous man on the run who, police say, committed two armed robberies and four aggravated assaults.
Willie James Rivers is described as about 5’6” tall and 160 pounds. Detectives obtained warrants against him for two counts of armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault. Rivers is currently on the run and should be considered armed and dangerous, police say. Anyone encountering Rivers should call 911.
Gwinnett County Police Department detectives allege Rivers is the man who robbed the Homestay Suites located at 4350 Stone Mountain Highway in Lilburn on July 14. The suspect produced a handgun and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.

On July 22, police allege Rivers robbed the Stars and Strikes at 479 Brightwell Court in Loganville. In this case, he entered the business and pointed a gun at multiple people, according to authorities. One of the victims followed him, and the suspect fired multiple shots at him. Police said Rivers ran away on foot, abandoning his vehicle, which was a lime green 2014 Ford Mustang. Officers recovered the vehicle, and it remains in police custody.
