Police: Parent Finds Suspected Homemade Bomb in Child's Room

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations was called to the boy's home in Monroe on Monday.

A Walton County teenager is accused of making two bombs that were reportedly locatedΒ in his bedroom at his home on Snows Mill Road, the Walton Tribune reports.

According to the article, the boy's mother notified authorities Monday morning after finding the explosives. Β 

The Walton County Sheriff's Office and theΒ Georgia Bureau of Investigations are working on the case.

Fox5 Atlanta reports the 13-year-old Carver Middle School student, who's been in trouble with the law previously,Β is being held in a juvenile detention facility.
