Clearview Pediatrics to Stay Open, but Main Doctor Is Leaving

Current physician Dr. Mehwish Sheikh will no longer be practicing at the children's medical office in Loganville starting in 2014.

Clearview Pediatrics in Loganville, which is a part of the Clearview Regional Medical Center group in Monroe, is staying open despite rumors of it closing.

Emily Russell, director of marketing for Clearview, told Loganville-Grayson Patch that Dr. Mehwish Sheikh, the current physician for the pediatric practice, is leaving in January 2014 for another opportunity elsewhere.

Russell said Sheikh's replacement is still yet to be determined, but they are interviewing different doctors for the position.

"They're not closing,"  said Russell. "They're still seeing patients, [and] all the staff is still going to be there."

She also noted that when Loganville Pediatrics closed earlier this year, all its medical records were sent to Clearview, so former patients are welcome to pick up their records.
