📰 News we're reading

• Man accused of shooting outside Lowe's at someone he thought was shoplifting tries to get bond (wsbtv.com) — A Loganville police officer described racing to the Lowe’s on Nov. 29 after reports of shots fired, where a 64-year-old customer admitted shooting at someone he believed was shoplifting. The Gwinnett County judge denied the man bond, ruling he posed a danger, while his family argued his military police background and gun discipline should count in his favor.

• Let there be lots of lights (monroelocal.org) — Razzles Kid Academy on Highway 81 in Loganville is once again lighting up the season, with owner Don Boss covering the daycare in elaborate Christmas displays he’s built up over 25 years. Families regularly drive through the parking lot to enjoy the lights, inflatables, and rooftop decorations, turning the center into a beloved local holiday tradition despite the big power bill and setup time.
