Early Morning Fire in Loganville Displaces Family of 4
A structure fire in the early morning hours of Sunday shut down parts of Highway 81 in Loganville and displaced a mother and three children.
According to Craig League, Battalion Chief - Walton County Fire and Rescue, an early morning fire at Highway 81 and Ozora Road in Walton County displaced a family of 4.
League said the fire was called in to 911 at 3:47 a.m. Sunday morning. The house was fully involved when fire units arrived. League said the homeowner had to drive up the highway to call in the fire. The occupants were a mother and three children. Multiple units were called in to assist and one lane of Highway 81 was closed as fire crews battled the blaze. The house, however, was a total loss. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
League said the road is now has been completely opened back up to traffic.
