Monthly SALT Triad meetings are held in Loganville the first Friday of every month in the community center at Southern Plantation. SALT is an acronym for Seniors and Law Enforcement Together. The purpose of the organization is to help reduce crime against the elderly and keep them informed of steps being taken by law enforcement to ensure their safety. In Loganville, the meetings are also used to update seniors on city and county matters and projects undertaken by the government. Each month, a special guest speaker also addresses the group. A breakfast, sponsored by the guest speaker, is served. Kevin Little, chairman of the Walton County Board of Commissioners, is today's speaker.
