Faulty Wiring Likely Culprit In Loganville Fire: Investigators

Fire investigators said they believe attic wiring led to a fire that destroyed a home Monday on Ray Road in Loganville.

LOGANVILLE, GA — A fire likely caused by faulty attic wiring destroyed a house on Ray Road in Loganville Monday afternoon, according to investigators. No injuries were reported.

The fire was reported at 3:38 p.m. Monday at a house at 158 Ray Road. Crews from both the City of Loganville Fire Department and Walton County Fire Rescue responded, according to Monroe Local News.

Firefighters reported heavy smoke when they arrived at the scene, said Loganville spokesperson Robbie Schwartz, who added that no-one was inside the house at the time of the fire.
