UPDATE: Suspect Apprehended in Elderly Lawrenceville Woman's Murder
UPDATE: This suspect has been apprehended: Police are looking for the 42-year-old son of an elderly, disabled woman from Lawrenceville in connection with her alleged murder.
UPDATE: GCPD report that this suspect was apprehended in Lawrenceville on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 6:40 p.m. just two miles from the scene of the crime.
Gwinnett County Police have issued an alert for Mark Wilson, 42, in connection with the alleged murder of his mother, Phyllis Wilson.
According to a press release from GCPD, officers responded to the home in unincorporated Gwinnett County in Lawrenceville Tuesday and found the 72-year-old disabled woman dead from an apparent stabbing. Investigators learned that the victims son was living in the house and he and one of the vehicles was missing.

According to the release, sufficient probable cause was developed to obtain arrest warrants for aggravated assault and felony murder for the victims son. He is reported to suffer from schizophrenia is believed to be driving the missing vehicle, described as a champagne color 2006 Toyota Camry, bearing Georgia Tag # ACE 4286.
