Grayson Farmers Market Kicks off Fall Season

Locals can expect more vendors and different foods in the upcoming weeks.

While other farmers markets in the metro Atlanta area are closing down for the year, the Grayson Farmers Market still has two more months to go.

Wednesday's market (Sept. 4) kicked off the fall season for the weekly outdoor trade, which takes place at Grayson City Park. Food trucks such as Yoli's and Rey's Cuban Cafe, run by Loganville City Councilman Rey Martinez, made an appearance, along with regular vendors such as the Crepe Cottage, Sunshine Farms, Wholly Pops and Snellville Honey.

In the upcoming weeks, more food vendors will be setting up shop in Grayson since they'll be retiring from closing markets nearby. Patrons can expect more produce such as apples, broccoli, and different varieties of lettuce and beets, and there also will be more live music and food trucks.

For next Wednesday (Sept. 11), the Grayson Farmers Market will have all-American antique tractors on hand to remember 9-11, according to Downtown Development Manager Gail Lane. Kids will be able to crawl and climb on the tractors for photo ops.

The Grayson Farmers Market runs every Wednesday at a new time from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. through the end of October at Grayson City Park. Keep up with market news on Facebook.
