The ceremony in Demorest recognized more than 190 students overall and highlighted Piedmont’s small-class, student-focused learning environment in north Georgia.
   

• Gwinnett parents who fought redistricting plan inspire district to change course (wsbtv.com) — Loganville’s Central Park families just won a major reprieve in Gwinnett’s school redistricting fight, keeping their children in the Grayson cluster for now. After months of organizing, letters, and testimony, the school board removed three Grayson-area neighborhoods from a plan tied to opening a new middle school, while warning more redistricting battles are likely ahead.
   

• Berry College announces local students on Fall Dean's List (monroelocal.org) — Loganville families can celebrate several local students who earned spots on Berry College’s Fall Dean’s List by maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA with full-time course loads. The Rome-based liberal arts college highlights these high achievers among about 2,200 students on its large campus.
