Grayson McDonald's Preparing to Reveal New Look

The newly remodeled McDonald's in Grayson will remain partially open until Nov. 26 and will then close the lobby for 10 days to complete reconstruction. The drive-thru will be open during that time.

The McDonald's in Grayson has been a little busy of late, working to upgrade the restaurant to keep up with the demands of the Grayson community. Although it has been a little distruptive, the staff have worked around the construction as much as possible and will remain partially open until Nov. 26.

"On Monday Nov 26, we will close the lobby for 10 days to complete the renovation, with our target reopening date being Dec 7," said Barbara Hackinson, manager of the Grayson McDonald's. "There are plans for a grand reopening, but there is no date as of yet."

So although the lobby and the drive-thru with alternate times of being open, customers will still be able to get their favorite McDonald's meal from the restaurant during the renovations.

The Grayson McDonald's has been open since November 2001.

"We have been excited to be part of the Grayson community and it's growth.  We feel that it is time to refresh our look and install a second lane in our drive thru to help accommodate the community," Hackinson said, adding that owner Lynn Hawkins and McDonald's had worked with Grayson Mayor Jim Hinkle to ensure that the new design blends with the current architectural landscape of Grayson. "We are currently open for business in the lobby while construction is taking place on the drive thru lanes and outside of the building. We will open the drive thru temporarily on Saturday and Sunday and will close it again on Monday and Tuesday to finish up construction. We will open up on Wednesday with everything ready to go."
