This Restaurant Failed Inspection In Gwinnett County

GWINNETT COUNTY — Local restaurants and food chains in Gwinnett County were recently graded by the Gwinnett, Newton & Rockdale Health Department and Georgia Department of Public Health. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70. Check out the latest scores in Gwinnett County.

Paopao Noodle Factory and Bar received an unsatisfactory score of 45. According to the inspector’s report, an employee was seen peeling and preparing cooked eggs with his bare hands. The eggs were then served to customers cold, with no further cooking/heating. The restaurant received its second violation for having fish cakes and fried onions held at room temperature. Soiled and wet wiping cloths were stored on counters throughout the kitchen and bar, according to the report. A follow up inspection will take place 10 days from the Oct. 13 inspection.

Monterrey Mexican Restaurant, 1000 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, in Suwanee, improved its score from the last inspection. It received an 80/B on Oct. 12, improvement from the Oct. 5 "unsatisfactory" score of 25.
