Gwinnett Recruiting Poll Officials At Hiring Events
Poll officials' Election Day duties may include setting up voting machines, checking voter identities and processing voters.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – Gwinnett citizens who want to serve the community and be engaged in the electoral process are encouraged to attend Gwinnett County’s poll official hiring events on Sept. 6 and Sept. 8 at the County’s OneStop Norcross facility.
Lynn Ledford, Gwinnett County supervisor of elections, said serving as a poll worker is a great way for citizens to play an invaluable role in our elections and give back to the community at the same time.
“Gwinnett has 156 polling locations as well as eight advance voting locations that we need to staff,” Ledford said. “Working on Election Day is a great opportunity for citizens to be actively involved in the process. Plus you can gain valuable work experience for a résumé and earn a $120 stipend.”
