Identity Theft Used To Make Cash Withdrawals: Police

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- The Electronic and Financial Crimes Unit of the Gwinnett County Police Department is hoping that someone can identify a woman in a recent identity theft case.

From October 22 - October 26, 2018, an unknown Hispanic woman obtained multiple cash withdrawals totaling $7,200 using a credit card which was obtained through identity theft, according to police. The crime occurred at the Wells Fargo branch at 3065 Lawrenceville Highway in unincorporated Lawrenceville. The woman presented a fictitious Pennsylvania identification purporting herself as the victim.
