Loganville Area Church Robbed and Several Other Area Burglaries Investigated by WCSO
Sound Equipment, flat screen TV stolen from Sharon Baptist Church sanctuary and freezer and several small kitchen appliances stolen from the church fellowship hall.
Walton County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Sharon Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, after church members arrived to find that the sanctuary and fellowship hall of the church had been burglarized.
According to a WCSO incident report, members arrived to find a stool and a chair in front of the door. They found that the back door had been pried open and a flat screen TV and sound equipment had been stolen. Deputies were called back a little later when church members found that the fellowship hall had been hit by theives as well. Items stolen from the fellowship hall included several small kitchen appliances, flatware, a 30 inch chest freezer, charcoal, garbage cans, a pressure cooker and other items, including consumables. The scene was turned over to the investigations unit.

- Theft – Narcotics were possibly taken from a residence on Wood Chase Dr.

- Damage to Property – The door lock to a produce stand on Hwy 11 was damaged.
Zone 3
- Arrest – A subject was arrested on Pleasant Valley Rd. for outstanding child support warrants.
- Suspicious Activity – Unknown subject(s) in a gold in color Chevy Suburban allegedly attempted to take mail from a mailbox located at a residence on Ridge Crest Drive.
Zone 4
- Prowler – Unknown subject(s) were heard outside of a residence on Old Baccus Rd.
Zone 5
- Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on N. Cross Lane in reference to vehicles speeding in the area.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on N. Cross Lane. Deputies checked for valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
- Accident – A subject, who was DUI, wrecked a four-wheeler on Jennifer Court.
- Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Tanners Bridge Rd. & N Cross Lane in reference to reckless and speeding vehicles.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Cannon Farm Rd. @ Old Hwy 138. Deputies checked for valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Zone 6
- Fraud – Credit card fraud was reported on New Hope Church Rd.
- Theft – A wallet was taken from a residence on Youth Monroe Rd. in Youth Mobile Home Park.
- Burglary – The sanctuary and fellowship hall was burglarized at Sharon Baptist Church on S. Sharon Church Rd.
- Trespassing – Subjects were issued Criminal Trespass warnings for trespassing at the Rock Quarry @ Annslee Lake.
- The subject was transported to Clearview Medical Center with charges pending.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Rd. @ S. Sharon Church Rd. Deputies checked for valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Zone 7
- Damage to Property – A window was busted out of a vehicle on Leone Ave. A suspect has been named.
- Firearms – Gunshots were heard behind a residence on Centerhill Church Rd.
- Prowler – A resident reportedly heard someone on the back porch of his residence on Haynes Creek Dr. No one was found when deputies arrived.
- Burglary – A residence on Cannon Farm Rd. was burglarized with forced entry to the back door. Several items were taken from the residence. A suspect was named in the theft.
- Damage to Property – A vehicle was damaged on Granite Grove. The windshield was busted out and the tires were slashed.
- Burglary – A residence on Pirklefield Drive was entered forcibly by an unknown subject(s). Firearms, T.V.’s and computers were taken from the residence.
- Dispute – A subject kept riding by a residence on New Horizon Drive “flipping” the bird.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bold Springs Rd. @ Loth Wages Rd. Deputies checked for valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
