On the list, but still to be inspected, are two new restaurants planned for .
Graft, soon to open in the old Grayson House and restaurants, is just waiting on the preliminary inspection.
“We’re almost ready,” said co-owner Ashley Clemence at the beginning of July. “We have a few things to finish and then we're just waiting on the go ahead from the state.”
For Clemence and her husband, Seth, it has been an eight-month labor of love that is about to come to fruition. She started a blog in 2011 when they first began the renovation project of the historic Grayson House. They completely gutted the inside of the building, planted a garden, and are now almost ready to open an upscale farm-to-table restaurant right in the heart of downtown Grayson. Clemence has kept a blog, chronicling their journey to the opening of Graft.
Clemence said the plan is to pair the meals, which will be changed seasonally, with the fine wines that they also plan to serve. The restaurant is expected to open sometime in July and has already been previewed by AJC foodi John Kessler. Patch will give more detailed information as soon as an official opening date is available.
Another restaurant on the Gwinnett County Health Department list awaiting inspection is Salamandra’s Mexican Restaurant, scheduled to open in Grayson Commons. No information is available about this restaurant at this time except a thread on Loganvilleonline.com that it is a new restaurant planned by the management of the old owners of Mi Mexico. Updates will be given as soon as information is available.
