Loganville Man Arrested After Allegedly Pulling a Gun During Road Rage Incident

The man was charged with aggravated assault - gun, firearms pointing or aiming at another and duty upon striking an unattended vehicle following an alleged road raid incident that happened Thursday in the Gwinnett County area of Loganville.

Terry Alan Duyvejonck, 45, of 5180 Donald Drive, Loganville, was arrested on Thursday evening following an allegedly road rage incident that involved the brandishing of a weapon. 

According to the police report from the Loganville Police Department, officers responded to the report of a fight in the parking lot of the American Deli at 4132 Atlanta Highway in Loganville. Duyvejonck and another man were reported to be involved in a physical altercation. Police broke up the altercation and took statements of Duyvejonck and the other man involved. The man involved in the incident reported that it began when Duyvenjonck almost ran into his car while he and his wife were on Oak Grove Road on their way to the restaurant for a birthday dinner for his wife. He reported that he honked the horn at the time. Both vehicles, however, ended up in the same parking lot and the man reported that it was then that Duyvejonck pulled a gun and threatened him. A fight ensured until it was broken up by police.

Duyvenjonck reported that the other man followed him into the parking lot and pulled him out of his vehicle. He said that was when he pulled a gun because he was afraid. At some point Duyvenjonck's vehicle rolled into another in the parking lot.

Duyvenjonck was arrested and transported to Gwinnett County Detention Center. He bonded out Friday on $18,200 bond. He is charged with aggravated assault - gun, firearms, pointing or aiming at another and duty upon striking an unattended vehicle.
