Man Pleads In Rape Of Teen Girl At Gwinnett Party
The man lured the 13-year-old girl to a camper and sexually assaulted her while at a party at a Gwinnett County home, prosecutors say.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA ā A farm worker on Thursday pleaded guilty to raping a 13-year-old girl at a party in Grayson, the Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office said.
Prosecutors said Sergio Palomares-Guzman, 36, was sentenced to prison in connection with the June 2023 incident that took place at a home.
The teenager, who had been in a barn petting horses, reported that Palomares-Guzman lured her to a camper and sexually assaulted her, prosecutors said. His DNA was located on her underwear, prosecutors said.

Palomares-Guzman pleaded guilty to rape, aggravated child molestation, child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes, false imprisonment and first-degree cruelty to children, prosecutors said.
He was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with the first 20 years to be served, and as part of the guilty plea, he is required to serve every day of the 20 years before being deported, prosecutors said.

āWe pray that this plea and sentence bring recovery and closure to the victim and her family,ā Gwinnett District Attorney Patsy Austin-Gatson said in a news release.
