Man Shot During Walton County Home Invasion
Walton County Sheriff's deputies responded to a Johnson Road home south of Loganville in the early morning hours of Nov. 24 to find a man with a gunshot wound to his leg.

A Walton County man reported he was in bed just before 2 a.m. on Nov. 24, 2012, when three men broke into his home, waking him up by striking him in the head. According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Report, the man attempted to run to a neighbor’s house and was shot in the leg in the process.
He did manage to make it to a neighbor's house and WCSO were called. The victim reported that he had left behind a 1-year-old child locked in her bedroom. The neighbor had called his girlfriend to pick up the child.
Walton County Emergency Services arrived and reportedly found a bullet had entered the man’s leg, just below his buttocks. There was no exit wound. He was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment.

According to the report, the man was a little hesitant to give up his information. When deputies did manage to get it, the victim was found to have outstanding warrants in both Walton and Gwinnett counties.
