In Memory: Mr. Bry L. Copeland 'Pops,' 97, of Loganville

Mr. Bry L. Copeland “Pops”, age 97 of Loganville, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2015 in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Loganville. Rev. Rusty Ruark will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.

Mr. Copeland was born in Rabun County to Effie Darnell and Lake Copeland. He graduated from Tallulah Falls School and then joined the United States Army in 1941. He served in the Army Air Corps in France during WWII as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Mr. Copeland became a charter member of Perkerson Baptist Church where he was ordained as a deacon in 1952. He was active in this ministry throughout his lifetime having a sincere desire to help others as he served the Lord and was a current member of Loganville Baptist Church. Mr. Copeland retired from Western Electric in 1983 with 37 years of service.

Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by his grandson, Bradford, and will be greatly missed by Blanche Copeland, his wife of 72 years; Sons & Daughters-in-law: David Copeland, Bonita Springs, FL; Joel & Debra Copeland, Slidell, LA; Richard & Debbie Copeland, Lawrenceville; Grandchildren: Ryan, Andrew, & Justin Copeland, Erin Krantz, Stephanie Hayes and Taylor Copeland; 8 Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters-in-law, Many Nieces & Nephews.
