New Teachers to be Introduced to Gwinnett County Public Schools

As an introduction to Gwinnett County Public Schools, new teachers will attend orientation Tuesday, July 30, at Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee.

The GCPS New Teacher Orientation starts at 8:30 a.m.

New teachers will be welcomed by GCPS CEO/Supt. J. Alvin Wilbanks, members of the Gwinnett County Board of Education, representatives of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, and others.

Also participating in the orientation will be teachers hired at mid-year last year. Peachtree Ridge High School is located at 1555 Old Peachtree Road NW.

During orientation, teachers will learn about the system’s expectations for them, efforts to enhance student learning, the curriculum, and support available to them for teaching and learning success.

The initial orientation will be followed by additional days of orientation at local schools and ongoing staff development activities later.
