Obituary and Funeral Arrangements: Gary Andrew 'Andy' Goodwin, 37, of Loganville

Gary Andrew “Andy” Goodwin, age 37, of Loganville, Georgia, died after an extended illness at his home on Monday, May 20, 2013. He is survived by his devoted mother, Barbara McCurry Goodwin; brother & sister-in-law, Brian & Nancy McCurry; niece, Christin Blasingame; brother, Chris McCurry, niece, Hailey Brock all of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Kaleb Gaberiel Goodwin; fiancée, Heather Wood and her daughter, Breanna Wood; Heather’s parents, Ronnie & Virginia Fenton all of Loganville, GA; paternal grandmother, Betty Goodwin of Stockbridge, GA; aunts and uncles, Bill & Kathy Goodwin of Stockbridge, GA, Gaye & Jim Payne of St. Simon Island, Gary & Amy Middlebrooks of McDonough, GA; Jan Brown of Stockbridge, GA; a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends. 

Andy was born on July 24, 1975 in Atlanta, Georgia, to Barbara Carol McDaniel Goodwin and Gary Austin Goodwin. He worked for M & M Tree Service as a salesman for over 20 years, and also worked for Cohen “Red” Andrews in the automobile profession. Andy enjoyed playing darts, pool and riding four wheelers with his friends. His greatest love in life was his son, Kaleb Gaberiel Goodwin, and the love of his life, Heather Wood and his step-daughter, Breanna Wood, and next was spending time with family and friends. Andy will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

The Service Honoring the Life of Andy Goodwin will be held Friday, May 24, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Buddy Rhodes officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Andy’s cremated remains will be laid to rest next to his father, Gary Goodwin, at the Stockbridge City Cemetery on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
