Possible Burglary Ring Exposed, 5 Men Sought: Police

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — Gwinnett Police Detectives need the public’s help in identifying five men involved in a motor vehicle theft and multiple commercial burglaries, according to police.

On Sept. 9, police say, the five men burglarized the Hertz Car Sales located at 5055 Stone Mountain Highway in unincorporated Stone Mountain. After stealing a 2017 Nissan Altima from the service area, they go to Quiktrip next door in a newer model black Mercedes Benz sedan with a sunroof. At the car lot they pull on the handles of several vehicles. They communicate with each other via cell phone and eventually make entry into a service bay. That stolen vehicle was later used in Henry County in at least five burglaries, according to police. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in DeKalb County after being abandoned.

Police believe the men are part of an organized crew that has burglarized numerous businesses in the metro area for the past several months.

The suspect descriptions are:

Suspect 1 – Short dreads, medium height, average build, Georgia Bulldogs hooded sweatshirt, black skinny cargo pants, and brown house slippers

Suspect 2 – Dreads, medium height, heavy build, facial hair, gray sleeveless vest, blue long sleeve shirt, acid-washed blue jean shorts, and black ankle-high boots

Suspect 3 – Short afro, medium height, average build, earrings, black t-shirt, blue jeans, and dark tennis shoes

Suspect 4 – Short curled dreads, short in height, average build, white shirt with diamonds and stripes, green skinny jeans, and black slides

Suspect 5 – Very short hair, tall, thin build, blue sweatpants with white stripe, blue and gray hooded sweatshirt, and black and white slides
