Road and Lane Closures that Could Impact Your Travel

From July 9 - 30, Barker Carter Road in Loganville will be closed for repaving. Residents are advised to look for alternative routes until the work is completed. Also starting Monday, July 9th,there may be more traffic delays on SR 316, even in the middle of the night. 

There will be lane closures and a portion of Hosea Road will be closed to through traffic overnight as the Georgia Department of Transportation continues construction on SR 316. They are turning the traffic light at the intersections of .

Only business access traffic will be allowed on Hosea Road starting at Hurricane Shoals Road. There will be a detour denoted by signs routing traffic onto SR 316 and back to Hurricane Shoals Road then to Hosea Road. GDOT expect this detour to be in place for about eight months.

The outside lane of SR 316 will be closed in both directions nightly between 9pm and 6am starting on the 9th and ending on the 13th.

Crews will also shift lanes on Collins Hill Rd. from Collins Industrial Way to Indian Bridge Way and remove the center turn lane. This change is expected to last about two weeks.

The $37.4 million dollar project to build two new bridges and 2.23 miles of new roadway on SR 316 is expected to be completed in December of 2014.
