Several Surrounding School Systems Hiring

Walton, Barrow, Gwinnett and Clarke County school systems are hiring.

Walton County Schools are hiring for the following positions: 

  • Substitute teacher — Provides classroom instruction and maintains classroom management in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Business teacher — This position is with Walnut Grove High School. 
  • Food service assistant — This position is available at multiple schools. 

The Barrow County School System is hiring for the following jobs.

  • Kitchen maintenance level III — Must be experienced in commercial kitchen equpiment installation, repair and preventative maintenance. Applications are being accepted through April 25. 
  • School nutrition worker — This is a four-hour position and managers set hours based on staffing. 
  • Bus driver — Morning routes are approximately 6:15 to 8:30 a.m. and afternoon routes from 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. 

Gwinnett County Public Schools is hiring for the following positions:

  • Parapro, special education — Provides support to the instructional program within an assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of special needs students. 
  • Teaching and learning assistant — Provides administrative support for the executive level operations. 
  • Substitute teacher — Responsible for providing classroom instruction and maintaining classroom management in the absence of the teacher of record.

The Clarke County School District has the following openings: 

  • Receptionist — This job is at Timothy Road Elementary. 
  • Human resources specialist II — This employee assists in planning, coordinating and managing of a comprehensive human resources program for classified employees. 
  • Head custodian — This position is at Gaines Elementary School.
