Sister Saved Toddler's Life After Gasoline Fire, Family Says
The 2-year-old has burns on more than 60 percent of her body after a tragic accident Saturday in Loganville.

The family of the 2-year-old girl whose body caught on fire Saturday (Nov. 9) says her older sister saved her life.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Kayleigh Calhoun screamed, "Daddy! Sissy’s on fire!" when she and her younger sister, Alyssa, were playing on an outdoor slide at their father's house in Loganville. Another child had put gasoline on the slide to make it slippery, and static electricity had caused a fire.
Kayleigh alerted their dad, who put the toddler in the bathtub to extinguish the flames. They then went to a fire station in Gwinnett County for help, Walton County Fire Rescue told Patch.
From there, she was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she's been in a medically induced coma, reported the AJC.
More than 60 percent of her body has second- and third-degree burns, with her back having the most severe injuries. Alyssa has a lengthy recovery ahead with months in the hospital.
No charges have been filed in the incident so far. The investigation continues with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
