The Path Project Recognized on Center Field at Georgia Game

Team U.G.A. recognized Georgia Alumni Jim and Melinda Hollandsworth during the Sept. 22 Georgia vs. Vanderbilt game in Athens for their work in "helping kids find the right path for their lives."

Team U.G.A. recognized Georgia Alumni Jim and Melinda Hollandsworth Saturday during the UGA vs. Vanderbilt game in Athens on Sept. 22. Team U.G.A. uses such occasions "to highlight and bring recognition to those in the Bulldog Nation who are using their lives to make their communities a better place."

The Hollandsworth family were called onto center field to receive the award and a video was shown on the big screen detailing the work of The Path Project and the reason the Hollandworths were chosen as recipients of the award. The video shown at the UGA vs. Vanderbilt game is No. 4 on the list.

The Path Project currently offers programs of support to the children at the Gwinnett Estates and Bay Creek Mobile Home communities in Loganville and at the Stone Mountain Mobile Home Community in Snellville. The goal of the organization is to “help kids find the right path for their lives,” according to their Facebook page. The majority of the park's residents are first and second generation Mexican immigrants.
