Walk-a-thon Scheduled for South Gwinnett Teacher Mark Rinehart

'Remembering Hannah' walk in remembrance of Mike Rinehart's wife, Hannah, who lost the battle with a rare bacterial infection after more than 60 days in ICU.

In partnership with Snellville Patch, Operation Appreciation is hosting a 'Remembering Hannah' 1-Mile Fun Run, walk-a-thon, and family fun activities in remembrance of Hannah Rinehart, a three time cancer survivor who lost the battle with a bacterial infection after enduring the amputation of both her arms and legs and spending 60+ days in the ICU at Northside Hospital.

The Remembering Hannah event will begin with a 1-Mile Fun Run at 1:30 p.m., and will be followed by a walk-a-thon from 2 – 5 p.m. For those not running or walking, there will be music and other activities, including carnival games, face painting, a bean bag toss tournament (cornhole), and other family friendly events. There will also be a silent auction of donated items from corporate sponsors and we will be accepting donations at the door.

The goal is to help raise at least $20,000. The more donations received, the more successful we will be in assisting Mark in this time of need.
