UPDATE: Walton County Man Drowns in Private Pond
A 30-year-old Walton County man drowned Saturday in a private pond on his property. Police are waiting on autopsy and toxicology report.

Walton County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Nicholas Mobley, 30, of 2079 Arnold Dairy Farm Road, Monroe, in unicorporated Walton County, drowned in a private pond on his property on Saturday evening.
Update:Â
According to the incident report, when sheriff's deputies arrived, another man was in the lake and fire personnel were already on the scene. Witnesses said Mobley had jumped into the lake because he said he was hot. He allegedly asked for help getting out, was helped out, cursed and then jumped back in. He resurfaced, complaining about not being able to breath. A board was "stuck onto his chest for him to grab and he would not grab it or anything," according to a witness account. He was allegedly heading toward the bank when he went under water again and did not resurface. A dive team from Newton County Sheriff's Office was called to assist in locating the body.
