War in the Digital World - Israel YouTube and Tweets its Strikes
It is a whole new world now. Israel is using social media to control the message of its strike against Hamas.
If anyone doubts anything they hear about Israel's recent strike on the leader of Hamas, they only need to go as far as YouTube, blogs or the Twittersphere to verify it, right from the horses mouth.
According to Mediabistro.com, Israel announced its military strike on the the Gaza Strip and that it has “embarked on an operation against Hamas, an Iranian proxy responsible for terror attacks in Israel,” via Twitter. An official Israel Defense Force Twitter Account is tweeting its actions as they happen. In fact, the action was announced on Twitter first, even before a new conference confirmed it. Anyone wanting to follow the action can do so simply by following the Israel Defense Force Spokesperson on Twitter or on their live blog. It gives updates as and when they happen.
If you want to see the strike that took out the leader, look no further than YouTube. It's already up!
