Here are the top three stories today in Macon:
- Yesterday, Mar. 20 at 2:00 a.m., a man robbed a north Macon gas station and then fled on foot. The suspect passed a note to the clerk at the Circle K gas station located at 2580 Riverside Drive, threatening to shoot if he was not given money. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident and asks anyone with information to call the office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME. (13WMAZ.com)
- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred on Mar. 19 on the 2700 block of Alandale Drive in Macon. According to reports, 70-year-old Eddie Gene Williams and his 75-year-old wife were arguing at their home when Eddie shot her. Eddie surrendered to deputies and was arrested for aggravated assault-family violence, and his wife is listed in critical but stable condition at Atrium Health. (WGXA)
