Art on the Atlanta Beltline Finalizes Schedule of Performances

The annual exhibition began with lantern parade on Sept. 10 and continues with performances through October.

Art on the Atlanta BeltLine has finalized its performance schedule that kicked off with the Lantern Parade on Sept. 10 and will continue through the month of October. The exhibition, now the largest, temporary public art exhibition in the south, will feature fan-favorites such as Mausiki Scales and the Common Ground Collective, Tray Dahl and the Jugtime Rag Band, and Crossover Movement Arts. Joining us for the first time are the Throckmorton ukulele group (“You’re Never Alone on the BeltLine”) and Soul Food Cypher with freestyle rap. Art on the Atlanta BeltLine has also engaged young artists on the scene with Atlanta Music Project and Beatrix Clark’s work with the Atlanta History Center Ensemble.

With the Westside Trail currently under construction, performances will take place in Gordon White Park and Historic Fourth Ward Park and the interim trails through Reynoldstown and along Piedmont Park. Temporary installations are now being exhibited on the Eastside Trail and will remain until the end of the exhibition in November. Hundreds of thousands of people visit the exhibition each year. As always, the exhibition is completely free and open to the public.
