Atlanta Humane Society Waives Adoption Fees For Big Dogs

ATLANTA, GA -- If you've been looking for a furry BFF, now may be the perfect time to act -- especially if you're ready to play with the big dogs, literally. Through Sunday, May 28, the Atlanta Humane Society is waiving the adoption fees of all dogs 40 pounds and up.

That means enjoying a romp in the park with your new big friend. That means waking up to sloppy kisses from your oversized roommate. The society has more than 250 dogs that are ready to join families at the park this Memorial Day weekend.

About 6.5 million companion animals find their way to animal shelters across the United States every year. Around 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized annually. But it doesn't have to be that way. Give a big dog a forever home this Memorial Day weekend.
