Here are several restaurants and bars offering meals and specials for the Fourth of July.

ATLANTA, GA -- If we're being honest, the 4th of July is not only a time for Americans to celebrate their independence, it's a time for some serious grub. With the latter being a sport in the metro area, we thought we'd give you the lowdown on where the real fireworks will be taking place: In the kitchens of some of Atlanta's best restaurants.
Here are some food specials centered on the red, white and you for the 4th of July holiday.
SweetWater 4th of July Patio Party Takeover at Two Urban Licks: Two Urban Licks is partnering with SweetWater Brewing Co. to host a special red, white, brews and BBQ this Fourth of July. The festivities begin at 11 a.m. and don't end until 4 p.m. in the Old Fourth Ward on the Atlanta BeltLine. Come for the food, stay for the live music and awesome backyard BBQ.

Hampton + Hudson: The Inman Park restaurant is offering patrons a complimentary brunch entrée up to $15 for Peachtree Road Race runners. The only requirement is that runners must present their race number. The deal runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m on the 4th. Come for the camaraderie, stay for the mouth-watering Chicken Benny, sweat tea fried thighs or the Bee’s Knees Burger.

Dantanna's has three metro area locations -- Buckhead, downtown and Sandy Springs -- and all of them will be doing it up with classic Fourth of July, All-American specials, including hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad, and more. Come for the BBQ Pork Plate ,stay for the half rack of St. Louis ribs with fresh corn on the cob.
Tap's right on Peachtree will offer a great venue to watch the Peachtree Road Race runners during the eatery's 10th annual Fourth of July Party on the patio. The good times start early: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come for the patriotic drink specials, stay for the signature favorites like Stuffed French Toast and Short Staked Pancakes.
Grindhouse Killer Burgers in Decatur will be have its upstairs patio is open to guests 21 and up. Drink specials on the 4th include $3 draft Heineken, $3 Jack Fire and $3 Jameson, as well as a Washington Apple Shot.

Parish in the Old Fourth Ward is doing its patriotic duty with a Stars and Stripes brunch on the 4th. Come for the American Breakfast or The Burger and stay for the Chicken and Waffles.
