Cats And Dogs Galore: 'Mega Adoption Event' Continues In Atlanta On Sunday
Atlanta Humane Society, LifeLine Animal Project and Fulton Animal Services hosting "Mega Adoption Event" on Saturday and Sunday.

ATLANTA, GA -- There will be pets galore this weekend at the "Mega Adoption Event" being hosted by the Atlanta Humane Society with LifeLine Animal Project in conjunction with Fulton County Animal Services. The event will take place Saturday and Sunday at AHS' temporary emergency shelter.

More than 250 dogs and cats will be looking for forever homes, AHS spokeswoman Christina Hill said in an email to Patch. The animals were not lost or displaced, but rather, they were already available for adoption in shelter facilities prior to the hurricane.
