Lights Adorn Midtown For Holidays

75,000 LED lights will be maintained in Midtown throughout the year, the Midtown Alliance said Tuesday.

Several locations in Midtown Atlanta will be much brighter during the holiday season and throughout the rest of the year, a local organization announced Tuesday.

The Midtown Alliance has installed 75,000 LED lights at several open spaces in the neighborhood, including Pershing Point Park at 18th Street and Peachtree Street, 15th Street Plaza, 10th Street Park, the Margaret Mitchell House button park, and the Ponce Triangle Plaza located in front of The Ponce Condominiums.

The lights will be maintained year-round, according to the alliance.

12th and Midtown, 1100 Peachtree, Bank of America Plaza, Metropolis, and Skyhouse South are adding to the luminous display by festooning trees outside their buildings with lights, the alliance says.

Of course, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens is outdoing everyone with its yearly ”Garden Nights, Holiday Lights” program which features some 2 million LED lights. The program runs until Jan. 9
