ATLANTA -- Likewise, a new in-store eatery and bar inside Citizen Supply at Ponce City Market, will open on Friday, Jan. 25. Housed on the second floor of the Central Food Hall in the center of Citizen Supply’s lively space, the restaurant concept will serve as an approachable and elevated hang-out place, where patrons can dine and drink while perusing the shop’s curated collection of rotating makerspaces.

In celebration of Likewise’s opening, the eatery will host a special grand opening party on Friday, January 25th from 7-11 p.m. During the event, guests can enjoy live music from DJ Esme beginning at 8 p.m., dishes and drinks for purchase from Likewise's newly launched food menu of nostalgic Southern classics, in-store raffles featuring Citizen Supply gift cards and more.

Likewise will feature a selection of seasonally driven light bites and shareable plates developed by Chef Jason Jimenez of Kitchen Six and Homespun. The menu will offer dishes recalling nostalgic Southern classics, such as Pimento Grilled Cheese, featuring house-made aioli and B&B pickles served on multi-grain bread; Butternut Squash Hummus, made with pomegranate and cilantro gremolata, crudite and pita; spicy chili caramel popcorn and more.

“We’re looking forward to adding a new element to the Citizen Supply space where guests can experience this unique environment and hang out over great food and drinks,” says Jimenez. “Citizen Supply is already known for curating great local and global brands, and we’re excited to further this through our intentionally sourced menu.”

Designed by Grace-Made’s Savannah Metcalf, the intimate in-store space offers a plush, 25-seat communal lounge area to accompany the eatery’s expansive open bar, which accommodates up to 20 additional guests.

Headed up by Atlanta entrepreneur Phil Sanders, Citizen Supply is a reimagined take on a curated and artisan marketplace that first opened at the mixed-use community hub in November 2015. Beloved for its rotating collection of makerspaces, the store bridges the gap between artists, small brands, makers and consumers by redefining traditional retail and providing their community, friends and customers with a unique shopping experience.

Citizen Supply was founded in 2015 by Phil Sanders as a way to bridge the gap between small brands and consumers. Starting with 45 vendors Citizen Supply has now reached over 160 brands that produce handmade, small batch and vintage products. The 12,000-square-foot store houses several in store studio makers that take raw materials into final product right in front of customers.

Ponce City Market is a historic, mixed-use community hub featuring local and world-class food, retail, residential lofts, and office space. Developed by Atlanta-based real estate investment and management company Jamestown, Ponce City Market is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
