Violent Crime Down In Midtown After Wild End to 2015: Atlanta Police
Zone 5 has seen a 25 percent decrease in violent incidents compared to a year ago.

ATLANTA, GA -- What a difference a year makes. Atlanta police said violent crime is down 25 percent in Midtown compared to a year ago, according to WGCL.
Atlanta police Maj. Scott Kreher credits new initiatives implemented by the police department as a major force in slowing down a wave of violent incidents that plagued the community in 2015.
“We created a power shift to work where the criminal activity was prevalent,” Kreher, Zone 5 commander, told WGCL.
